Former IBM sales leader brings decades of enterprise technology experience to support Locus growth

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., Sept. 09, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Locus Technologies, the leader in science-grade environmental information management and EHS compliance software, today announced the appointment of Larry Gant as Vice President of Sales. Gant brings decades of enterprise technology sales and leadership experience, including a long tenure at IBM, where he learned the software business from the ground up and advanced through progressively larger sales leadership roles, followed by leadership positions at Mainline Information Systems and, most recently, a leading enterprise software provider.

In his new role, Gant will lead the Locus Technologies sales organization across the company’s environmental data management and compliance software portfolio. He will focus on expanding market awareness and helping organizations understand how Locus technology can address complex environmental, health, safety, and sustainability data and compliance needs.

Throughout his career, Gant has built and led enterprise sales organizations while helping customers evaluate and adopt sophisticated and emerging technologies. His experience includes launching enterprise practices in AI, automation, and data management, as well as leading sales organizations across distributed and mainframe platforms. He has worked with customers across transportation, healthcare, insurance, financial services, and state and local government.

Gant’s approach to enterprise sales has consistently centered on understanding the customer’s needs before prescribing a technology solution. His experience spans complex sales environments and buyers ranging from technology and operations leaders to senior business and financial executives.

“Larry combines the enterprise technology pedigree of IBM with years of experience building sales teams and bringing sophisticated new technologies to market,” said Neno Duplan, founder and CEO of Locus Technologies. “Just as importantly, he understands that complex software has to be connected to a real customer need and communicated in terms customers can understand. That combination of technology experience, sales leadership, and customer focus makes him a strong fit for Locus.”

“I've spent my career helping organizations understand where sophisticated technology can create real business value,” said Gant. “Locus has deep technical capabilities and an unusually strong understanding of the problems its customers are trying to solve. I look forward to bringing those strengths together and helping more organizations put the platform to work across their operations.”

Gant holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Rockhurst University and is based in St. Louis.
